The Four Lines That Decide Whether Our Answer Is Any Use

The commonest reason a reply disappoints is not that something is being held back. It is that the question arrived without the four facts that change the answer.

“Which machine should we buy?” can only be answered with a brochure. There is nothing in the question to answer against, so what comes back is a range and a suggestion to get in touch — which is where you already were.

The same person writing “we do sizing and prong work in 14K and 925, four to six repairs a day, one bench, 220 V single phase” gets a specific recommendation and an offer to weld their own scrap.

That is not a trick of phrasing. Each of those four facts decides something we genuinely cannot decide without it, and guessing at any one of them produces a confident answer that happens to be wrong.

What each line is actually doing

The alloys you work in set the test piece and the starting parameters. Silver, white gold and platinum each fail differently, and a recommendation built on the wrong one is a recommendation for somebody else’s bench.

The jobs and roughly how many a day decide optics, spot size and how long the machine has to run without a break. This is the one that separates the models — far more than wattage does.

How many people will use it, and whether any have used a laser before decides what training has to cover and how the presets should be set up before you start.

Where it is going — country, supply voltage and phase — decides the plug and the supply setting, which are fixed before the crate is sealed and cannot be changed from our side afterwards.

Working Out What You Need

Paperwork, Imports And Insurers

A CE declaration and a RoHS declaration for the machine you are ordering; the unit’s own quality record by serial number rather than a specimen of somebody else’s machine; and export documentation — commercial invoice, packing list and whatever your route requires. Ask for whichever your import or your insurer actually needs. What travels in the crate is set out on the shipping page.

Before you order, every time. If a particular standard or certificate is a condition of your purchase, tell us while it can still change what we do — we would rather tell you plainly what we can and cannot supply than have the shipment turn up short at customs, where nobody has a good option left.

The manual and the documentation are packed in the language agreed on the order, which means it has to be agreed on the order — it is one of the items checked before the crate closes. Remote support runs in English, by email and video call.

Once The Machine Is On Your Bench

Send the serial number rather than the model name alone. The same platform ships in several configurations, so optics and nozzle sizes are set by the build you were actually sent — the serial is what identifies the right wear part. Setup on delivery — siting, cooling, gas and optics alignment walked through rather than left to the manual. Operator training built around the jobs your bench takes in. Starting parameters by alloy, then stored presets so a proven setting is recalled rather than re-found. And troubleshooting by photo, video or live call when a weld fails or the machine alarms. Inspect the crate and record anything marked on the carrier’s paperwork before you sign, count the pieces against the packing list, and keep the packing until the machine has powered up and welded a test piece.
